Multi Disciplinary Team

The Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) approach to investigating child abuse cases is an evolutionary process. The Patticake House coordinates the MDT process for Irwin, Tift, Turner, and Worth Counties. Our MDT is comprised of representatives from the following agencies: Department of Family and Children Services, Law Enforcement, the District Attorney’s Office,  School Officials, Victim-Witness Assistance Program, Court Appointed Special Advocates, Mental Health, Department of Juvenile Justice, Health Department, Teen Pregnancy Clinic, and Sexual Assault Nurses. The MDT process allows for a thorough review of each case placing the best interest of the child at the forefront while allowing for an investigative process that is sensitive and timely.
