About Patticake House

Patticake HouseThe mission of The Patticake House is to provide a child-friendly facility where professionals work together as a team to protect and treat child abuse victims while holding offenders accountable.

The Patticake House operates under the Child First Doctrine which states: "The child is our first priority; not the needs of the family; not the child's story; not the evidence; not the needs of the courts; not the needs of the police or child protection services. The child is our first priority."

We believe that every child has a dream, a hope, and a future. It is the goal of our Board of Directors, Staff, and Partners to help each child overcome the adversity that comes as no fault of their own.

Located in rural, South Georgia, the Tifton Judicial Circuit is comprised of the following counties: Irwin, Tift, Turner, and Worth. The Patticake House serves the Tifton Judicial Circuit as well as Ben Hill county. The Patticake House offers its services free of charge to victims and non-offending family members to ensure that not only the child victim can cope and overcome their trauma, but also ensures that the family as a unit can cope together.

Services

The services provided by the Patticake House include:

  • Electronically recorded forensic interviews in a child-friendly atmosphere by a trained professional
  • Multi-disciplinary case review
  • On-site therapy

Funding

The Patticake House is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We receive 35% of our total budget from state and federal grants. The local government provides 12% of our funding, leaving 53% of our total budget to be accumulated through private donations and fundraisers.
